Crew stands Aft and salutes the colors on the JPK's first day in the USN Rear Admiral Felix Gygax reads the order from the Naval Department to offically commission the ship.
CMDR H G Moore reads his orders and the Kennedy is now a member of the fleet. Notice that Jean Kennedy is under the 5"38.
